Cornet Mamabolo to exit “The River”

Cornet Mamabolo is rumored to exit 1Magic’s telenovela The River.

The star who joined just a couple of months is making his way out of the show.

However, Mamabolo is set to take yet another break from acting to focus on some of his other business endeavors.

Mamabolo who was portraying the role of Lerumo on The River will exit unexpectedly which was come as a shock to many of his fans and those of the show.

After a few months returning to the small screen, reportedly, Mamabolo has other bigger fish to fry.

“While fans were happy that they will get to see their favorite actor on screen again, Cornet Mamabolo famous for his Skeem Saam role as Tbose is yet again exiting the acting spaces. The actor who announced his come back to the screen barely two months ago is now going back into hibernation. Cornet had taken up the role of Lerumo on 1Magic’s telenovela The River” wrote IndAfrica

Reportedly, the former Skeem Saam T’bose only took the role of portraying Lerumo on The River because it was said to be a very short role. This comes after he bid his farewell to Skeem Saam which he has been part of since the day it started.

The publication continues to mention that while he plays the character of the villain on the show. That is also the same way his character will exit the show with a gun.

“He acts as a s villain and according to December teasers the actor is going to die while trying to kill someone. December teasers reveal that Lerumo will be caught by Zweli while in the act of trying to murder Beauty” wrote IndAfrica

Much talks have been circulating about The River coming to an end. Reportedly the show has been renewed for season six, however a number of lead actors and actresses have been reported to have either exited the show or taken a break,

It is reported that Mamabolo’s exit on The River as Lerumo would be the by the result of Zweli Dikana, portrayed by Hlomla Dandala, who is also exiting the show and won’t be part of the newest season set to premiere in February next year.

Minnie Dlamini, recently wreaked havoc across Mzansi when she announced that she and her husband, Quinton Jones, are getting divorced after two years of struggling to make their relationship work. Now fans are speculating that she has replaced him, but it may not be what it looks like.

The media personality has recently gone on vacation. Even her fans and fellow celebrities agree that she desperately needed to take a break and unwind after the drama that followed her divorce announcement. She was bullied, and tweeps insinuated that she could not keep a man, and that she would never find love again because she is now “damaged goods”. It was hectic!

She has been sharing snaps from her vacation, and one of them was captioned “Dinner with my soulmate in Paris”.
The post immediately caught fans’ attention, but upon further inspection, it seems she was just baiting people, as the soulmate she meant is her close friend. Even so, she is still getting a lot of applause for looking radiant and glowing, even after everything she has been through recently.

But it was another post that set tongues wagging. She shared a photo four days ago, of herself in a bikini, basking in the sun. She captioned it “golden hour”, but the comments section was turned off, which is probably why it took so long for the post to garner attention.
That was until one fan, reaching out to a popular gossip blog in the country, speculated that she had gone back to Zuko Tisani’s house in Cape Town. The apartment was the venue of her much talked-about video with Unathi Nkayi, which landed her in trouble.

Now the fan is further speculating that Minnie has replaced Quinton with Zuko. The former love birds were allegedly supposed to be shooting a film together, or at least collaborating on the project. Now that they are separated, it looks like she may have taken the project and replaced Quinton with Zuko in it.

Unathi Nkayi on her new scary journey at Star 91.9FM

Local media personality Unathi Nkayi is back on the airwaves! The broadcaster on March 1, hosted her first show on radio station Star 91.9FM. The seasoned broadcaster hosts the ‘All Star Drive’ from 3pm to 6pm alongside Justin Toerien on the radio station. For her first official show, Star 91.9FM held a live broadcast of the show at Jozi Gin Bar in Cedar Square.

IOL Entertainment got to join the fun and witness Unathi and Justin do their thing and also meet the rest of the presenters such as Nicole da Silva, Greg and Lucky and Mzi at the community radio station.
It’s been amazing to have a first again, I didn’t think I would be able to have another first in my career. And also being at a station that is so exciting and so excited to have me there, which is really lovely.

“I think it’s also really wonderful that there is such an established range of talent here. Everyone is excited, the music is amazing. I love that it is 80% local and I also love that the women we have on the station not only have supportive roles but also have roles where we are independent and can stand alone, which is really great,” she said.

Unathi boldly expressed her excitement over her new venture. She may have had a little nerves prior to going on air but she handled the show like the pro she is.

The chemistry between Unathi and Justin was amazing to witness, one would have thought the two had a few practise runs before the broadcast, but Unathi revealed that there was no practise session, just pure authentic energy. After the broadcast and before the celebrations kicked off IOL Entertainment caught up with Unathi about her new chapter.

“It’s a new chapter, you know and it’s a very scary chapter because I was asked to come help start a new radio station. Something I never thought I would ever do. We know that radio stations in South Africa are established and they have been for a while.

“So it’s very humbling to be trusted with a new baby, it’s very humbling to be trusted with a blank canvas and for the team to trust me to join them and to say we trust you enough to grow this beautiful baby of ours,” she said.

Ariana DeBose to make her Marvel debut in Kraven the Hunter

Ariana DeBose is set to make her Marvel debut in “Kraven the Hunter”. The 31-year-old Golden Globe winner is to star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the upcoming Marvel movie. According to Deadline, the “West Side Story” star will take on the role of Calypso, a voodoo priestess who uses magic potions, and the occasional lover and partner of Kraven (Taylor-Johnson).

Russell Crowe and Fred Hechinger were recently added to the cast, though their roles are being kept under wraps for the time being.

In 2021, it was revealed Aaron had been cast as Kraven in the Sony motion picture, which will be directed by J.C. Chandor. Kraven is known to be one of Spider-Man’s biggest enemies, and he has also clashed with Venom and Black Panther over the years.

The character – who was born Sergei Kravinoff – was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and first appeared in 1964 Marvel comic “The Amazing Spider-Man. He said: “Yeah, absolutely. But I don’t have any knowledge I could share with you if did.

However, his chances of playing the character again appear to be slim as Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, previously told fans that Quicksilver is “100 per cent dead” and will not be back “anytime soon”.

Foundation to be Launched in Riky Rick’s Honour?

When he said ‘Cotton Eaters do not die, they multiply’ he knew exactly what he meant. Therefore his family will ensure that his memory and legacy lives on. During his emotional funeral on Tuesday, March 1, his family revealed that they would create a foundation in his honour and it will focus on young people.

Riky always emphasised the importance of taking care for the youth and that is what many people remember him by. He did not just preach the importance, he also practiced it. A family member, Kumi Naidoo, revealed this during his funeral service and said when they last spoke, he pleaded with him and his mother-in-law to help him bring his vision to life.

“In our last conversation you said mom and I need to help you with your core vision, which is to support young people. You were so concerned about young people at risk but you also wanted young people to have the same chances that you had to break into music, arts and culture.” he said.

“Mama and I and the rest of the family will work with your fans to bring this vision to light and ensure there will be a foundation set up in your name to serve young people in Africa,” he promised.

It was an emotional sendoff indeed and it was revealed that his body had been cremated.
At the funeral, Bianca Naidoo, his wife of 9 years spoke about how he helped her break away from her shell and how their kids loved and cherished him dearly.

“When I think about nine years together, here are the things I am mostly grateful for. Our journey as parents started at the beginning of our relationship. He was an amazing father to Jordan. They had the most incredible bond from day one. She brought softness to his life

“Our children told Riky and I the importance of family values. He loved teaching them new things, he wanted them to always be open to new experiences.. He always wanted them to stretch their thinking, expand their horizons . He took a keen interest in their hobbies and passions. He loved them deeply, he was their protector,” she said.

“As a partner he always encouraged me to come out of my shell and to allow myself to step into the light and conquer my shyness, he wanted me to shine. I was put in his life to love him, to care for him and to help him on a journey to fulfill part of his purpose. Ours was deep and pure love.

Former Fith Harmony star Normani to release new solo single this month

Normani has revealed her next single, “Fair”, will be out later this month. The former Fith Harmony star is following up the lead single from her long-awaited debut solo album, “Wild Side”, featuring rap megastar Cardi B, with the new song later this month. In December, Normani revealed her LP is almost done”. Motivation’ star gave the exciting update as she opened up about how daunting it was leaving the safety net of a girl group to embark on a solo career.

She explained: “Coming out of a girl group, there was a lot that I had to figure out about myself and fears that I had to deal with head-on.

“I was always so safe being in a girl group. I remember my mom when I was little, she was like, ‘Why do you want to be in a girl group so bad? Is it so you can hide?’
