  • This is why you need a Personal Trainer

This is why you need a Personal Trainer

A new gym equals unchartered territory. It means stripping yourself of what you already know letting your guard down and putting your body into the hands of another set of weights, or better yet, a personal trainer.

Using a personal trainer, whether it’s for one session, one month, or one year, is one of the best things that anyone can do for him or herself because it allows the focus to be on you. It’s wonderful to learn what your body needs and what exercises your body reacts to through someone who has immense knowledge of fitness, nutrition and health. It’s a personal cheerleader who wants you to succeed, whether you’re just looking for a good workout or working towards a certain goal.

    Call Ahead
Some personal training facilities offer a free introductory first session, which should be taken advantage of. If you find a gym that does this, which is rare, jump squat your way in. There’s no pressure to buy any fancy package and you won’t feel tied down to something you’re not sure of yet.
    Know Your Goals
If you just want to get a good workout or if you have a goal of losing a substantial amount of weight, make it evident what you’re there for. Telling your trainer your goals helps him/her to focus on what would be best for you in order to help achieve your goal.
    Eat Clean and Often
Cristian suggests eating five to six small meals a day and cutting out all processed carbohydrates and replacing them with complex carbohydrates, such a whole grains, brown rice and oatmeal. A clean, healthy and balanced diet is key in being successful in your weight loss journey or your journey back to a healthy lifestyle. Each meal should be packed with protein and it’s necessary to not skip meals, which slows down your metabolism and your body will then go into starvation mode.
    Stay Motivated
Whether you plan on sticking with a trainer for a while or feel as if you can take what you learned and go with it elsewhere, staying motivated is what makes the difference. Cristian sees people come and go, but most return because they can’t motivate themselves. If you can’t afford a full time personal trainer, take what you learned during your time with one and apply it at the gym, or at home, and keep it going. Once working out becomes a routine it will become easier to maintain. Treat it like a job, as if it’s something that is necessary for you to do, because it is, and your health is the most important thing in life.

Alec Baldwin seeks dismissal of civil suit

Attorneys for Alec Baldwin and other producers of the movie “Rust” are asking a court to dismiss a civil lawsuit filed by a script supervisor who was on the set when the actor fatally shot a cinematographer.
In a filing in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, the attorneys said the claim by Mamie Mitchell should be thrown out because there was no evidence that Baldwin or any of the producers intended harm. Baldwin was the lead actor and a producer of the independent film, a Western.

“Despite Plaintiff’s attempt to label claims as intentional, nothing about Plaintiff’s allegations suggest that any of Defendants intentionally committed harmful conduct,” the filing said.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was wounded when the gun discharged as Baldwin was rehearsing on the New Mexico film set. Gloria Allred, Mitchell’s attorney, said on Tuesday that the claim should be allowed to proceed. The producers are “trying to avoid explaining their conduct before a judge and a jury in a court of law,” she said in a statement.

  • Biggest lies men tell on their first date

Biggest lies men tell on their first date

Very rarely do men speak honestly on their first date because they are out there to impress the woman.

They can lie about all sorts of things but there are 5 biggest lies which are common and it is up to you when it comes to forgiving them for the same.

Here is a list of those 5 lies that man tell on their first date.

    1. The Job profile
Most men have this issue of exaggerating and lying about their job. They will make it sound like a fortune making company or job even if it is not. Men feel that this attracts women. They feel like it is necessary to show that they are the alpha males.

    2. The apartment
Some men feel that if they talk about their apartment in a romantic and cool sense then they have all your attention. Few men reveal the fact that they are living with their parents and even if they talk about it as in India most of us are living with the parents, they will show that they have different entry point in the house etc.

    3. The laid back attitude
Nobody reveals their anxiety issues on the first date. Men especially, try to show that they are very laid back and independent. Very few admit to the fact that they like to have things in order and that they cannot even boil an egg.

    4. The drinking problem
If he drinks everyday, you will not get to know unless you start spending that much time with them. Men know that no woman likes to be with someone who has substance abuse issues. Men do have this tendency to downplay their number of drinks on the first date.

    5. Working out
Being fit today is a major ask so most men try to show that they have just come from a workout, have to go to the gym etc. It may be true but they like to highlight it. They feel that this false aura impresses women and is a fail proof plan.

The Swedish-born real estate broker and author of “The Sell” has been with the hit Bravo TV series since its inception, with the first episode having premiered on March 7, 2012.
The two-time Emmy nominated series started with Eklund, Michael Lorber and Ryan Serhant, who was the executive vice president and managing director of Nest Seekers International at the time.

Award winning artist Oscar Mbo Accused of Being a biggest Scammer

Award winning artist Oscar Mbo, has topped the Twitter trends list as he is embroiled in a nasty payment drama and his fans are disappointed at him.

This comes after being accused of being a “no-show” at gig after being paid to play at the gig. A DJ by the handle of @DeejayArchieSA, has accused Oscar of ducking with his booking fee after he booked him in December through his manager Yolisa. Oscar was supposed to play at his gig on 28 December 2021 but he did not.

The DJ has come out guns blazing to vent out his frustrations, about the payment he made to the DJ, and he was a no show on his gig.
Although he did not reveal how much he paid him, he said he has been trying to reach him to no avail. Oscar has apparently blocked his calls and his manager is also not picking up her phone.

“OK I booked Oscar Mbo last year December through his manager Yolisa, I paid them the full amount according to our agreement. Ok Oscar didn’t pitch ka di 28 December. I am still waiting for a refund even now. He blocked my calls and his manager is not taking my calls. I need a refund,” he tweeted.

Oscar’s manager had sent him a message on the 28th letting him know that they had experienced a lot of inconveniencies and would not be able to make it. She apologized for not delivering what they promised and offered him a two-hour set on another day but has since not honoured their promise.

Disney responds to Peter Dinklage’s criticism of Snow White remake

Disney has responded to criticism made by Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage about its forthcoming live action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Dinklage said the remake of the 1937 animated film, based on the story from the Brothers Grimm, was “backward”. Disney said it was going to “avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film”.

Dinklage had said Disney should have reassessed the project. I was a little taken aback by [the fact] they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White,” he told podcaster Marc Maron.

“But you’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there, it makes no sense to me. Dinklage – who stars in the forthcoming Oscar-tipped film Cyrano – has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia.

The actor has previously spoken about the representation of dwarfism, saying it was “bad writing” to make it a “dominant character trait”. The original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs film, released in 1938, was the first full-length animated feature from Disney, and is considered one of the studio’s classics.

West Side Story star Rachel Zegler and Red Notice actress Gal Gadot are set to star in the adaptation, as Snow White and the Evil Queen respectively. They were so proud of that, and all love and respect to the actress and the people who thought they were doing the right thing but I’m just like, ‘What are you doing?’”

British Paralympian swimmer Will Perry, who has publicly condemned people who abuse him, said people with dwarfism were often portrayed as “mythical or comical characters” on film and TV.

He told Nicky Campbell on BBC Radio 5 Live: “I know loads of people who love [Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs] for the right reason… but we are now in the 21st Century. People like Disney, who have influence over young people, need to be influencing them in the right direction.”

In a statement, Disney said the live action remake will be an updated version of the original 1937 film. We are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community,” it said in a statement.

“We look forward to sharing more as the film heads into production after a lengthy development period.”

Oscar-nominated producer Marc Platt, who also worked on Disney’s live-action rendition of The Little Mermaid, is set to produce the film.

Emtee is a Gentleman – Pearl Thusi

Celebrity friendships are a good thing to see but there is something about Pearl Thusi‘s friendship with Emtee – we just can’t put our finger on it. One thing we do know, is that they care deeply for one another and are not afraid to show it.

Pearl Thusi scored herself a date with Twitter’s most famous serial dater, Michael Bucwa, AKA Mr. SMEG. But fans expressed concern over Emtee saying he made a whole hit song about Pearl Thusi, named Pearl Thusi and even featured Pearl herself, but all he got was a shoutout and a friendship, not even a date.

Now, we know the fan was trolling because they added that the Manando hitmaker did not even get a hand shake.

“Once upon a time someone even realise a song called “Pearl Thusi” but didn’t even get a date, not even a hand shake, oww poor @emteerecords,” said the tweep.

Pearl Thusi however defended Emtee, like they always defend each other, and narrated a time when Emtee was the ultimate gentleman to her.

She said Emtee invited her to a plane after she attended a gig and also made sure that she got home safely. She said this was so gentleman like of him.

#BBMzansi: Mpho in trouble for Faking her Exit

With barely a week in the Big Brother house, viewers have already identified their favourite housemate, and Mpho is one of them. So you can imagine the worry most people had when she announced her exit from the reality show, saying her calling is getting affected.

After Keamogwetse Motlhale, AKA QV, left the Big Brother house for her own mental health, Mphowabadimo thought it was okay to prank the housemates and viewers about her exit as well.

When she first announced that she was leaving, this prompted mixed reactions from viewers. Many of which applauded her for taking care of her mental health, but some slammed her and QV for leaving whereas other people would have gotten chosen. Selfish, is what some viewers labelled it seeing how more than 9000 people auditioned to be in Big Brother.

Mpho said she was pulling a stunt and was not really going to leave the house.

    Here are some reactions:

Big Brother announced that QV was leaving and said they fully support her decision. In a statement, the channel said, “Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestant QV leaves the house.

“Shirley Adonisi Director of Local Entertainment Channels hereby confirms that Keamogetswe Motlhale, one of the Big Brother Mzansi season 3 housemate known as ‘QV’, has taken the decision to leave the Big Brother house for personal reasons. QV has bid farewell to her fellow housemates and has also expressed her gratitude to the production team for the opportunity to be in the House A psychologist is working with her to ensure a smooth transition back into the outside world and guide her through her journey going forward. We wish her all the best on her journey and she has our full support.”

QV also let her fans know that they should learn from this and that their mental health comes first. Taking to her social media page, QV shared that what had become a childhood dream of hers, quickly turned into a mentally challenging competition, which forced her to choose her health.

While at the Big Brother house, she gave a speech to her housemates and thanked them for being ‘present’ and for opening themselves up fully, to experience this opportunity.

“I’m sure everyone noticed that I have been a little bit closed off…I’ve come to realise that I’m clearly struggling from something and as much as I would like to throw it behind and focus solely on knowing each and everyone of you, it’s not only affecting me mentally, I’m feeling it physically. So I will be leaving the game.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity which has always been my childhood dream and for that, I’ll never take the moments for granted. One thing you guys should take away from this is that, healing takes time,” she shared.

When the show announced their return, they crowned The River’s Lawrence Maleka as their host, “Just in time to heat up summer!! MultiChoice Group and Banijay are pleased to announce that the much-loved Big Brother Mzansi will be making its highly anticipated return to your screens soon, and it promises to be as exciting, entertaining and action-packed as ever. • Signs you have imposter syndrome & how to deal with it

Signs you have imposter syndrome & how to deal with it

Have you ever felt like you are not as competent as others see you be in intelligence, achievement, and even social context?

If so, then you might have imposter syndrome. In layman’s terms, imposter syndrome is the experience of feeling like a quack, and you only got lucky to achieve what you have.

People with imposter syndrome feel as if they will be found out at any moment, so they don’t share things often. However, impostor syndrome can affect anyone irrespective of status, background, or expertise.
Psychologists first used the term in the nineties, and it was initially thought to apply to high-achieving women, but it has been widely experienced since then.

Below are some signs of imposter syndrome, the forms, and how to cope with it.

    Hallmarks of imposter syndrome
You often deny credit for your success, or you attribute your success to external factors
    You often berate yourself
You don’t realistically access your abilities
You set impossible goals and feel disappointed when you don’t meet them
Because you underestimate your abilities, you tend to overprepare or work harder than necessary to ensure nobody finds out you’re a fake
Everyone feels like an imposter sometimes, but having this feeling continuously is dangerous and can damage your self-esteem. If you think the only reason you survived that class presentation was that you read all night or got promoted at work because you worked a lot more than your peers, then you have imposter syndrome.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to know if you have imposter syndrome:

Do you feel like you’ll be eventually exposed as a phony?
Do you agonize over minor flaws or mistakes in your work?
Do you often take constructive criticism to heart?
Do you criticize yourself, even in areas where you’re more skilled than your counterparts?
If you can relate to any of these questions, you have imposter syndrome and need help. Of course, many factors like family upbringing, trying to fit into a new environment, personality, and social anxiety can trigger imposter syndrome, but you need not let it define you; if not, you’ll be looking over your shoulder all your life.

To cope with imposter syndrome, you need to understand that you’re worthy of love, affection, achievement, or praise. Accept that you’re not perfect, but you are good at what you do and confront the way you see yourself. Question your thoughts, access your abilities, and don’t let feelings of inadequacy hold you back. Only then can you be the best version of yourself. You can also speak to a therapist if you need to communicate your feelings.
