Ifani Shares The Real Reason He Left Music

Ifani, who was the biggest Hip Hop artist in South Africa at some point opens up about the real reason he was away from the scene for all these years. Firstly, he admitted that it hurt him when people believed AKA’s claims that he bought copies of his albums which went Gold.

“It was heartbreaking seeing some people whom I thought were on my side jumping over to AKA’s side. It was too much for me to bear so I took a step back.” He adds that after making his first million, he had no desire to continue making music.

“I left Dream Team at the time when I was leaving everything. I was leaving music and after making that Milli, I felt like that’s what I came here for and I got it so why do you want me to wake up in the morning, to do what? Make another Milli?

“I was leaving everything to focus on myself because besides being a musician and an engineer I am a human being who is curious about life. I always felt like I needed to give myself time to answer these questions.”
Ifani had a lot of questions he needed to be answered and the only way h could do it was if he left the music industry.

‘I’ve been asking a lot of questions about who is God? How did we get here? What is time? What is space? What is space-time? Why are we here and who are we?

“See I had to give myself time to answer these and making music does not give me time to explore. Performing in gigs does not give me time to explore. So making money wasn’t the thing after I made it. So after I cut everything I gave myself time to explore these questions and one month turned to one year and one year turned to two years and two years turned to four years.

“Now I have a chunk of four and a half years me time. I found that I was looking for.” At the end of his interview, he doesn’t reveal whether or not he’ll be returning to the music industry

  • This is Why it is advisable to pee after s*x

This is Why it is advisable to pee after s*x

Peeing after s.e.x is always a good thing, especially for women. Because the urethra of a woman is shorter than that of a man, bacteria can readily enter and cause a urinary tract infection.

Peeing after intercourse may aid in the removal of microorganisms from the urethra. This aids in the prevention of UTIs. Is it truly required? It isn’t required, but it is beneficial. Urinary tract infections can be avoided by peeing after intercourse (UTIs). Bacteria enters the urinary tract through the urethra and travels to the bladder, causing UTIs.

Your urethra (the orifice through which pee is expelled) is near to your vaginal opening if you have one. Your urethra releases both pee and sperm if you have a penis, but not at the same time.

After s.e.x, peeing can help remove microorganisms from your urethra that were introduced during the intercourse. Although it isn’t a guaranteed method of avoiding sex-related UTIs, it is a simple approach to try.

It’s possible that you’ve heard that peeing after sex is good for you, especially if you’re a woman. This is because peeing removes bacteria from the body, which may assist to avoid the development of a urinary tract infection.

Peeing after intercourse is less crucial for males. Because guys have a longer urethra, this is the case. Bacteria from the vaginal area is therefore less likely to reach the bladder.

Although there is no proof that peeing after sex can prevent UTIs, there is no harm in doing so. It may help to reduce the risk of UTIs, particularly in women and those who are more susceptible to them.

Your sex life is directly affected by your bladder health. The bladder is a muscular, hollow organ that expands to hold urine and is located between the pelvic bones. Your bladder muscles relax as urine fills it up, but once it’s full, it sends signals to your brain that it’s time to empty it.

Bacteria can enter your urethra during sex, increasing your chances of contracting an infection. This is why it’s crucial to pee after sex because it flushes out the germs.

  • Countries where women don’t change their surname after marriage

Countries where women don’t change their surname after marriage

Around the world, customs and laws differ regarding the changing and taking off of a woman’s maiden name.

In this article, we will be talking about some countries where women do not change their maiden names after marriage.

    1. ICELAND

Icelandic married women are not permitted to take their husband’s surname because, unlike other Western-countries, Iceland uses patronymic or matronymic references rather than family names.

    2. GREECE

In 1983, Greece enacted a law that says all women must keep their maiden name after marriage. This law was passed in the early 1980s when the country was emerging from dictatorship rule and rewriting its laws, customs, and constitution.

    3. ITALY

The custom of married women changing their maiden names after marriage doesn’t exist in Italy. A married Italian woman retains her maiden name but has the option of adding her husband’s surname after hers.

    4. QUEBEC (Québec)

The laws of Quebec prohibit a woman from adopting her husband’s surname after marriage. Since 1981, married women in Quebec have been required by the civil code to keep their surname after marriage, thereby protecting the woman’s identity. Under Quebec law, a married couple may use each other’s surname by combining it with their birth name, but these names are not legally recognized. According to this law, a woman’s maiden name remains her legal name after marriage and cannot be changed without the court’s permission, which we can assure you is not an easy task.

    5. KOREA

Korean women keep their maiden names after marriage, as is customary in Korea. This is based on the traditional logical reasoning that it was passed down from their parents and ancestors and thus should not be changed.

Jennifer Lawrence has given birth to her first child.  The ‘Don’t Look Up’ actress and her husband Cook Maroney recently welcomed their first child into the world, though details of the baby’s s.e.x or specific date of birth have not been confirmed. Public records seen by TMZ show the 31-year-old star gave birth in L.A. County but it is unclear when.

However, sources told the outlet that Jennifer celebrated her baby shower with friends at the end of January.
“But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.” Jennifer married Cooke in 2019 and admits that she enjoys doing the simple things with her husband.

The Hollywood star said: “I really enjoy going to the grocery store with him. I don’t know why but it fills me with a lot of joy. I think maybe because it’s almost a metaphor for marriage.”
The ‘American Hustle’ actress returned to the big screen for the first time in two years in 2021 with the black comedy film ‘Don’t Look Up’ and believes that the break was necessary as audiences had grown “sick” of her – which was reflected in her films disappointing both critically and commercially.

She said: “I was not pumping out the quality that I should have.

“I just think everybody had gotten sick of me. I’d gotten sick of me. It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right. If I walked a red carpet, it was, ‘Why didn’t she run?’… I think that I was people-pleasing for the majority of my life

I have seen so much suicide – AKA speaks out

AKA expresses himself on Instagram following the passing of his colleague, rapper Riky Rick. The death of the 34-year-old shook the nation, as it was reported that he was found hanging, but all efforts to revive him failed.
Kiernan dropped a touching note on how suicide has become a common factor, especially with men.

Remember that the rapper lost his fiancee, Anele Nelli Tembe to suicide, as she kicked the bucket after jumping a high storey building where she lodged with him. AKA has been fighting depression for almost a year, and from his recent experiences, he said the men need attention as they’re damaged.

“Let’s keep it 100. The last 5 people I know who took their own lives, 4 of them are men. I’ve seen so much suicide over the last year I can’t even feel anything anymore. I’ve spoken to a lot of people, some of them said “He just got a bag from African Bank blah blah etc … “ … that tells you everything you need to know about this fucked up, fake ass algorithm world we have created for ourselves to live in. Riky went to Hilton, he grew up around money,” he wrote in tribute to the late rap star. Supa Mega further preached the solution needed to reduce suicide.

    AKA

“I hope that very soon we can address the issue of how damaged and broken the men in this country are. We have no one to talk to, we just pat each other on the back and say, “get on with it, be strong my boi” … but in reality, we are traumatised. Generational trauma passed down to us. Ladies, we are not perfect by any means … but damn, we are crying out for your approval, your love and affection.
Please, can we RESET and go back to FAMILY VALUES?!. Can we (myself included) start going to Church Again. Please, can we start some sort of dialogue about MEN in this country because it’s our duty to protect you, to provide and care for you. We cannot make this thing work without each other. We are crying out for your help. This is so traumatic. Please, let’s not forget about us. We not perfect by any means but damn …. Look at the stats, we are taking our own lives at record highs. Something has to change,” he concluded.

Other celebs affirmed AKA’s spiel, and his mother, Lynn Forbes empathised with him, knowing that her son is pained.

Kiernan the courage it took or maybe the point of desperation reached in order to express these feelings. Be the change you want to see in the world son, I’m right behind you and yes it’s time to start a dialogue about MEN … a dialogue that is long overdue,” she said.

“I know how much you are hurting and my heart goes out to every family whose lives have been devastated by suicide and the individuals who reached that place of no return. To Bianca, Louisa and the family, I wish you peace and the privacy to grieve and heal in this very unkind world. R.I.P Riky,” Lynn added.

  • Heels every lady should own

    Heels every lady should own

Heels are a girl’s best friend. They can instantly give life to any outfit and transform a look from basic to chic or straight up baddie.

What we love about heels is the fact that there are different types and designs for every woman out there.

If you’re only focused on modest heels that are not too high, you can find those. And if you’re a girl that can strut with up to six-inch-high heels, you can easily get those too.

As you add more to your heel collection, you shouldn’t ignore the essentials. To ensure you have every design covered, start with these:

    1. Office-friendly heels

I know the office can be a bit boring but that shouldn’t mean that your style needs to be sad too. With monotonous routines every day, it’s easy to let your style suffer.

To get a confidence boost, you should have some polished heels that you can wear during such days. They should be comfortable enough to walk around in and neutral in color since you will need to combine them with many outfits.

These will come in handy for daily office wear, for meetings or interviews where you need to look your best.

    2. Comfy, casual heels

Now that you have some official-looking type heels, you can add comfy, casual heels to the list. You might be tired of wearing sneakers and sandals every day and are looking for something different and that’s where a pair or two of casual heels come in.

These are the heels that will come through for you if you want to still look girly and cute as you run your errands. These will look good and actually give you extra support for your feet and back as compared to flat shoes.

Examples are comfy block or kitten heels as well as chic wedges.

    3. Statement heels

These heels are meant to serve bold and unapologetic looks. These are your metallic heels, heels with interesting patterns and colors and those that have a unique heel design.

These aren’t meant to be worn every day and they’re mostly for events where you need to show up in style.

Treat yourself to at least one pair of statement heels.

    4. Dinner date heels

When you’re going out for date night, your office heels or casual errand heels don’t always pair well with what you’re wearing. It definitely helps to have sexy heels that can blend well with the flirty mood of the date.

You can go for something like classy lace up heels.

    5. Neutrals

Just like any other closet essentials like the little black dress, you should also have a few neutral colored heels to back you up. They will save you when you’re going for an abrupt event or in any situation where you need to put together an outfit quickly.

They should be simple and comfortable so that you can wear them for a quick meeting, a date or occasion and, the best colors to start with are nude and black.

  • The Wife Breaks Its Own Showmax Record

The Wife Breaks Its Own Showmax Record

Last Thursday Season 2 of The Wife broke its first season’s record for the most first-day views on Showmax ever – with three times as many viewers. #TheWifeShowmax also topped the Twitter trends list on Thursday, as the first three episodes of Season 2 dropped on Showmax, with Zandile, Hlomu, Nkosana, and Qhawe all trending in the top 10.

Inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestseller, Zandile The Resolute, Season 2 sees fan favourite Mondli Makhoba (Umkhokha) step up into the lead male role as Nkosana, who’s finally reunited with the love of his life, Zandile Khanyi Mbau from Unmarried, Happiness Is A Four-Letter Word), after breaking her out of jail at the end of Season 1.

Khanyi is full of praise for the actor. “It’s the voice, man. Have you heard that guy’s voice? ” she said, adding, “Nkosana makes the Zulu language so romantic; he makes it sound like French.”

The media have been similarly impressed. As TrueLove says, “The physicality that Mondli exudes in his scenes with Khanyi makes the pair an intoxicating on-screen couple with sublime sensuality and playful energy that bounces between them.”

Season 1 saw South Africa fall in love en masse with Bonko Khoza as Mqhele, before he broke their hearts with his mistreatment of Hlomu. Given the reaction to Nkosana in Season 2, don’t be surprised if fans name Mondli South Africa’s replacement national husband soon…

To find out more, we caught up with the actor, who hails from eMacambini in KwaZulu-Natal and is also a published poet, writing in Zulu:

What has it been like working with Khanyi?
Working with Khanyi has been great. She’s very gifted and she just pulls you into that world where you are supposed to be. It’s magic. I cannot wait for our audience to see more of that because, yoh, it’s great.

    What’s changing in Season 2?
Having Zandile back brings out another layer for Nkosana, where we see him soft, where we see him loving. That side of Nkosana that we didn’t see in the first season.

It also makes us understand why he had to work so hard with his brothers all these years. Why the heists? Why everything else they were doing to save money? Zandile is the reason why.

The challenge now is how Zandile fits in. Over the years, as he was working on getting her out, he was subconsciously creating a system that works for him, with the hope that Zandile will fit in. So now the question is: Will she fit in? Will she feel loved? Will he have time for her? Will she feel that she’s got his attention? So let us wait and see.

The family is in a lot of trouble with regards to his brothers, so we also still have him as the glue of the family, trying to make everyone gel and stay focused.

Tell us more about the dynamic with the kids, Hlomu and Zandile? What does Nkosana feel would be the best possible outcome? Obviously the kids love Hlomu. She’s been there, helping them through everything, all the chaos that they have as a family.

But Nkosana wants his family together. He wants to see Zandile and their kids play. He wants to see them gel as a family. So he wishes and hopes that they love their biological mother more, that they have that bond that mothers and kids need to have.

How different is Mondli to Nkosana?
There are similarities: Nkosana is the eldest at home; Mondli is as well. He’s very protective of his family, which Mondli is too. So those similarities have helped a lot, and make it easier to play Nkosana.
But Nkosana carries a lot of anger that Mondli doesn’t. Each and every day I have to come back and get out of character and leave Nkosana on the set, otherwise you’ll hear bad stories.

    Yeah, he’s complicated…

How did you prepare for Nkosana in Season 1?
It’s very hard when you start at the very beginning, when you’re still trying to find the backstory of the character, but once you’ve done that, it becomes part of you.

So when I get on set, as I take off Mondli’s clothes and put on Nkosana’s clothes, that’s the transformation. I start thinking like Nkosana. It starts there.

I’m a spiritual person. I know with these characters that we play, we are given to play. So I go to a zone where I talk to Nkosana and ask him to play. So I feel like I’ve met him.

Tell us a bit about the chemistry with other actors.
The chemistry between the brothers, it’s amazing. We have that brotherly chemistry going on, which makes it easier for us when we are in front of the camera.
