    The news stirred lots of people and triggered mixed reactions as it is believed that hell will be let loose should Wodumo reveal names of female celebs and other women who disturbed her husband before he died
    A few months before Mampintsha died, Babes Wodumo accused him of defrauding and cheating her.

    “When I log into his Instagram, I see the messages he sends to other female celebrities that I know, some of them have told him to stop it because they know he is married to me. Then he brushes them off by giving them compliments. He sends them the fire emojis and flirts with them, which is so embarassing,” she said.

    “He is hurting me both at work and at home. When I fire these girls and get new dancers, he does the same even with those ones.”

    Babes Wodumo mourns her late husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Mamphumula after he passed away on the 24th of December.

    The news of the legend’s death left many devastated, including the family members. The first photos of Wodumo after Mandla’s death surfaced on social media and its garnered lots of empathy.


    While Afrotainment and DJ Tira spearheaded the social media update campaign, not much was seen nor heard from Babes Wodumo. This is because the star has been off social media for months following her many mishaps and fights with people on social media.

    In light of the tragedy, fans wondered how wife and fellow Gqom artist, Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Maphumulo, formerly, Simelane, was coping. More so considering that she and Mampintsha shared their first and only child together, Sponge, who is still a toddler.

    Mampintsha’s mom allegedly denied access to his body

    Mampintsha’s mom, Zamanguni Gumede, has allegedly been denied access to her son’s body.
    This is coming after the star was announced dead few days ago. Mampintsha passed away on Saturday after he suffered a stroke last week. Zamanguni apparently went to Westville to see Mampintsha’s body to be able to believe that he had passed, but she was not permitted to.

    Babes Wodumo’s sister Nondumiso Simelane is the one who has the documents that stipulate who can and cannot see his body, according to Ezivuthayo Emaputaland.

    “[Mampintsha’s sister Pinky has also reportedly said that they [Maphumulo family] have found out that they have will not been included in the funeral arrangements. We don’t know what we have done wrong because we did not have disagreements with anyone. They are even denying Mampintsha’s father access. My mother wants to see her son and this has taken a toll on her health],” Pinky allegedly said.
    The publication also reports that Mampintsha’s sister and manager Nondumiso Simelane is the one with the paper that declares those who can and cannot see the ‘Ngeke Ngvume’ singer, “whoever wants to see the body has to ask her”.

    Once upon a time self-professed queen of gqom Babes Wodumo was one of South Africa’s favourite and most promising artists. Things quickly went south for Babes when she started appearing intoxicated in public.

    Her career also took a massive hit when she shared videos of her husband Mampintsha beating her and then reuniting with him shortly afterward.

    Despite making new music and starting their reality show together, the couple never quite bounced back to their old fame. This became even worse for them when Babes repeatedly shared live videos of herself intoxicated while hurling insults at random people.

    It seems Babes is looking to make a big comeback after she headed to her Instagram on Saturday 8 January to share a clip of herself looking absolutely stunning.

    The clip got a lot of attention from her followers who instantly realised that the clip was edited using some sort of filter or Photoshop.

    Babes Wodumo is criticised after her husband, Mampintsha complained of being stressed.

    The West Ink boss opened up on Facebook saying: “Awulele ngani na (ngiphethwe I stress singing) esani I stress?” which means “I just need some time in a beautiful place to clear my head.”

    He also spoke about damaged people, and people were quick to crucify Babes for Mandla’s complaint.

    “Damaged people are strong because they know how to survive.”

    People were quick to flaw Babes and blame her for her husband’s health issue, as she recently insulted her mother in law on social media.

    Few weeks ago, she accused Makhadzi of sleeping with Mandla.

    However, the Ghanama hitmaker denied the claim, and revealed all that transpired between herself, Babes and Mampintsha.

    Upon hearing Makhadzi’s side of story, people supported the Limpopo-born star and asked that Babes Wodumo’s mental health needs to be checked.

    Seems the table has turned around, as Babes was formerly called the victim, but Mampintsha is not the victim.

    Though, he is yet to release a statement in reaction tor Babes claims.

    Babes Wodumo, Mampintsha and Makhadzi have been trending on social media after Babes went ranting on Makhadzi accusing her of bedding her hubby, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo.

    Makhadzi took to social media to address Babes’ allegations denying that she had slept with her husband.

    She went on to tell her to deal with her husband for looking at her and not attacking her, tarnishing her image for what her man did.

    “You can’t expect me to be able to stop your man from looking at me, deal with your man who likes women, not ask me to stop him from looking at me. How can that be possible,” she said responding to Babes.

    Meanwhile, Mzansi has been calling Mampintsha to give his side of the story amidst the Babes Wodumo – Makhadzi beef.

    Mampintsha took to Tiktok, where he dropped a video that has left people even more confused.

    In the 46-second video, recorded in isiZulu, part of it loosely translated, Mampintsha says, “You say I like looking at things, listen here! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, there is no one ugly here.”

    Mampintsha has left Mzansi guessing as to who he is referring to and who the message is intended for.

    Others could not help but associate it with the Babes vs Makhadzi feud saying he can only be referring to Babes Wodumo who thinks Makhadzi is not beautiful.

    Makhadzi refused to be drawn into a catfight with Babes who she accused of attention-seeking.

    She mocked her claims and forgave her, and went further to advise her to control her husband.

    The Limpopo-born singer said she only came to their studio for business and nothing else.

    “I don’t even have your husband’s number and if he has mine I don’t know how he got it,” she added.

    However, Mampintsha has been extremely quiet about the incident that sparked the feud only to release the vague TikTok video.

    Shortly after Babes’s name topped the social media trends list, she released a video statement on Instagram, claiming that she had been hacked. She asserts that she was being framed and has distanced herself from claims that it was her voice in the viral video.

    However Babes’ PR manager and sister Ndumiso Simelane told TshisaLIVE that she’s hurt over the entire debacle and was trying to contact Lady Zamar to apologise and clear her name. Babes heart is bleeding after the video went viral. She is trying to get hold of Lady Zamar to clear her name regarding the accusations, because the situation is getting out of hand now. She said there was no beef between Babes and Lady Zamar because they were in different music genres.

    “They are not in the same musical genre, so why would Babes do that or have beef with her? Acne is a problem nationwide. Why would my sister have [the] nerve to say that to Lady Zamar. Even Babes has acne sometimes,” Ndumiso added. Taking to Instagram, Babes also shared screenshots from Twitter which she claims were not shared by her.

    Mzansi have “disowned” musicians Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha after the couple promoted their Bonnie and Clyde tour this week. The tour first came under fire in May when the tour was first announced but three months later they still think it is a good idea and even released a promotional poster for it.

    The poster would probably have been less cringe-worthy if it wasn’t for the fact that the couple were at the centre of an abuse case until just a few weeks ago. Five months ago the couple had the country in crisis mode after a video of Mampintsha hitting Babes went viral. This led to assault charges being opened against Mampintsha, who in turn opened charges against Babes.

    The charges have since been withdrawn after the couple attended mediation sessions through Families SA. Well fans haven’t forgotten and were shocked to see a poster featuring the pair holding guns.

    The pair have released songs together to try take the sting out of the alleged assault but fans still have serious trust issues and lambasted the tour. They responded to Babes‘s question of which city the tour should visit next by telling them not to come to their hood.
