Ayanda Ncwane comforts her fellow Widows

Losing a spouse is said to be one of the most heartbreaking losses anyone can go through. Recently, former Our Perfect Wedding presenter, Kayise Ngqula, broke her silence on the unfortunate passing of her husband due to a car accident in June this year.

    Ayanda Ncwane

Regrettably, Kayise is not the only ZAleb who has been widowed, and at a young age. Actress Simphiwe Ngema lost her husband, musician and actor Dumi Masilela in 2017. Biokineticist Letshego Zulu also had to pick up the pieces after the tragic loss of her husband, Gugu Zulu in 2016. Earlier this year, The Throne actress Tsholo Matshaba remembered her late husband and former Motsweding FM presenter Chris Matshaba.

    Ayanda Ncwane

Ayanda Ncwane, widow to gospel musician Sfiso Ncwane, took to her Instagram to pen a heartfelt message to women from all walks of life who have been widowed.

    Her message read:
“Dear fellow widow, how I wish I could hold your hand and look at you and assure you that your pain and suffering is temporary, our Heavenly Father our new husband has a new garment for you, strangely full of comfort, provision, peace, good health, uncommon favor, protection, Heavenly make up, Glory & inner glow, extra angels specifically trained to raise your children and more. Worry not fellow sister, our Heavenly Bae got us covered, I’ve personally seen Him in my journey. Happy women’s month to all women and especially my fellow sisters, the special ones who are now WIDOWS. ?❤️.”
The businesswoman and mother of three lost her husband in 2016 and although it has not been easy, she has committed herself to helping other widows.

    Ayanda Ncwane

Her message touched and reached many women who share a similar experience, with one follower say: “I don’t normally comment but this right here is very close to home being a widow myself I can attest to the fact that our Heavenly Bae got us covered… I have seen him walking with me every step of the way… I have seen his favor and yes I have seen better days too it has been 3 years now

    Ayanda Ncwane

This past Sunday, Ayanda, in an Instagram post, shared her agenda for women’s month – which is to advocate for the rights of widows.

The post read: “Agenda for the whole Women’s Month: Widow’s Rights Matter ✊?✊?✊? . Ngsayophuza itiye nabanye abafelokazi [off to tea with other widows] Blessed Sunday to you and yours ?#WidowsRightsAreWomensRightsToo

Phat Joe is so obsessed with me: Anele Mdoda

Radio personality Phat Joe felt the wrath of Anele Mdoda on Wednesday morning after he shaded the star during his morning radio show. Responding to news that Anele is on the judging panel for this year’s Miss SA pageant, Joe questioned the decision and suggested that she was just there to make up the numbers.

    Phat Joe

While listeners quickly responded to Joe’s comments, Anele took to Twitter to address Joe and claimed he was “obsessed” with her. Phat Joe is so obsessed with me. Like a dog barking at cars that won’t ever stop 🙂 he should concentrate on being at a radio gig longer than 5 min,” she wrote.

Anele then responded to an angry fan’s tweet by calling Joe “washed out”.

    Joe doesn’t give a phcuk ??

Anele once again took a swipe at Joe for constantly moving from station to station and suggested that he wouldn’t be at Radio 2000 for too long.

“Well when he does have work. Phat Joe must tell us what happened at East Coast Radio or every other job that he lasted a year and less. Don’t even know which station he is at now but give it 6 months. Shock jock is that is not shocking. Swine we blowfish.”

Joe was told about the comments on air and laughed them off. He gave a shout out to Anele and other women on the panel, but mixed in a bit of spice. Shoutout to Anele and the other women… We will see who is washed out on Friday,” he said live on air.

Meanwhile, Twitter was divided over Joe’s comments, with many taking to the platform to air their views.

  • Is Ayanda Thabethe dating Lerato Kganyago’s ex-fiance?

Is Ayanda Thabethe dating Lerato Kganyago’s ex-fiance?

Ayanda Thabethe has a new man in her life nearly one year after ending her relationship with Zulu Mkhathini (formerly known as Dash). The TV presenter has been focusing on her career since the split, but It looks like she is ready to give love another chance.

    Ayanda Thabethe

The 33-year-old is reportedly dating businessman Papi Rabolai. The rumoured lovers were allegedly spotted together at Sandton’s Signature restaurant in July looking very cosy. It wasn’t the first time they were seen together. The pair had been painting the town red together for several weeks before the Sandton sighting.

Sources told the Sunday Sun that Papi, who is Lerato Kganyago’s ex-fiancé, has already introduced her to his family. Papi is happier with Ayanda because of her kind heart. She respects him, unlike his exes. As his friends, we’ve seen so much improvement,” the mole told the publication. While the businessman’s friends are allegedly spilling tea about their romance, Ayanda is keeping her man’s identity a secret for now.

    Ayanda Thabethe and new boyfriend

That hasn’t stopped her from dropping hints on social media. She recently spent time at The Gorge Private Game Lodge & Spa in Port Shepstone and tagged her man along. While she didn’t post any pictures of him on her Instagram timeline, she gave her followers a glimpse of him on Stories. Her man is seen kissing her on the cheek while she smiles at the camera. You’re making all my dreams come true,” she captioned the shot.

The couple clearly enjoyed their time unwinding at the luxury game lodge. Another picture, which was presumably taken by her lover, shows Ayanda relaxing in a bathtub. It might be a while before Ayanda officially introduces her boyfriend to the world. She learned from her relationship with Zulu that flaunting your relationship on social media is not always a good idea.

Zodwa Wabantu regrets losing fiance Ntobeko Linda through fame

Vosho dancer Zodwa Wabantu bares all in the last episode of her reality show on Moja Love, which was shot at Soweto Theatre on Monday night. Dressed in a black crop top, short skirt and strappy heels, Zodwa was in high spirits despite reports of her recent split from fiancé Ntobeko Linda, who was at the event The socialite and dancer was joined by Khanyi Mbau (they both dated wealthy businessman Mandla Mthembu); controversial musician Jub Jub and Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng, a s-e-x therapist. The show was hosted by Trevor Gumbi.

    Zodwa Wabantu

The Soweto-born star, who shot to fame as a dancer who preferred to gyrate on stage sans any underwear and in barely-there outfits, started out as a 16-years old hustling on the streets, trying her best to eke out a living the only way she knew how.

And she wasn’t ashamed to revisit her past. I’ll never forget taking care of myself as a child, that’s why I’m not scared of anything, you can’t hurt me. They used to hide bath soap and food from me. I then realised that I have a vagina I can use to better myself.

I remember staying with my friend Nombulelo Nkomo at Dlamini 2 (Soweto). She had a backroom; so we would squat there. I would go to the streets to hustle and she would do all the house chores for us. I was the provider, bringing home plastics full of groceries,” Zodwa recalled. After realising that life on the streets wasn’t really sustainable, Zodwa re-branded herself.

She explained: “Street-life doesn’t pay. The money you get just disappears without even seeing how you spent it. I know in the hood some women still do it for alcohol, expensive hair and staying at luxurious hotels but I was never that person. I would tell a guy not to take me to the public and feed me expensive food or stuff like that, I just wanted money.

Since bursting onto the social scene in 2017, when she got all eyes on her at the Vodacom Durban July, her career took a turn for the better. She scored many gigs and grabbed headlines for her butt-naked performances. Some saluted her and others slated her. She was even banned from performing in some African countries.

    Zodwa Wabantu and Ntobeko Linda
    Zodwa Wabantu and Ntobeko Linda

But that didn’t stop her from being who she is. Instead, she continued to trend on social media and bagged Zodwa Wabantu: Uncensored, where she reveals much about her personal life with Linda, whom she was supposed to marry.

“Being in a relationship with a young person like Ntobeko was so nice because I didn’t have to cook or do laundry for him, he couldn’t tell me anything. I work hard, I have money and that’s how I kept him,” Zodwa revealed. However, the romance was short-lived. Not long after proposing to him with a R55 000 engagement ring and paying lobola, Zodwa called it quits.

“I called off the wedding after considering Ntobeko’s feelings because he’s still young and would probably want to have children in the future, which is not part of my plans,” Zodwa admitted. While she regrets losing her man through fame, she doesn’t regret the fractured relationship she has with some of her family.

“I don’t have to fix any relationship with my family because we don’t have a proper foundation. They can’t have me now. Yes, they can call me if they need help and I will provide for them but they have no right to have a say in what I do with my life. I don’t need them, even to bury me because they once said I’ll have to bury myself when I was living the street life, not even knowing why I was doing it,” she shared.

That said, she does maintain her close ties with her two sisters and an aunt, who would check up on her when things got really tough. Zodwa has made friends in the industry, who have sort of becoming family to her. Mbau is one such person. Besides having the similarities of not caring about what people say, Zodwa and Mbau have something else in common-their kids share the same father.

When asked if there was ever bad blood between the two, Mbau said she’s never had a problem with Zodwa and they got along since the first time they met.

Even though she has a thick skin, Zodwa confessed that she sometimes cries when she watches her show because it takes her back to her ugly past. But she feels optimistic about the future and is taking it one day at a time. To see the full interview, catch the finale episode of “Zodwa Wabantu: Uncensored” this Saturday at 6 pm on Moja Love (DStv channel 157).
