Phat Joe apologises to Anele Mdoda

Just hours after nearly shutting down social media for his comments on Anele Mdoda’s inclusion on the Miss SA judging panel, Phat Joe has apologised to the radio star. Joe saw flames on Wednesday morning when he questioned Anele’s inclusion on the beauty pageant’s panel and suggested she was just there to make up the numbers. Anele wasn’t here for game and soon dragged Joe HARD for his comments, calling him “washed out” and claiming he was “obsessed” with her.

Joe laughed off the clapback on his radio show, but later apologised to Anele, claiming he was joking. Anele confirmed this in a tweet on Wednesday night and said she had accepted his apology.

“Just took a call from Phat Joe. He apologized. I accept his apology. Naturally he thought he was joking and it didn’t land well on me. I appreciate the fact that he did not want to dictate how I reacted in my defense to what he believed was said in jest. We live. We err. We heal,” she wrote. She later explained that she accepted the apology because she was also far from perfect and sometimes had to say sorry.

“I am not perfect so I am quick to forgive because I too say a lot of sorry’s,” she told a follower. While social media users weighed in on the debate, UDM leader Bantu Holomisa joked that Joe should have at least brought a cow as a sign that his apology was sincere.
Mdoda said the incident, which saw both stars trend for most of Wednesday, taught her they both had fans, but this should not overshadow the pageant.

Minister of transport Fikile Mbalula burst Ntando Duma’s Babby Daddy Junior De Rocka

Fikile Mbalula took to the streets of Twitter to pull Junior over for using his phone while driving. Molo Mhlekazi, please do not drive and use your phone. It is dangerous and puts your life and that of your little one in danger.

Blue cop and Red Emergency lights should never be in the memory of your young one if the worst caused by phone use while driving occurs”, the Minister commented .

This bubble bursting, (yet life-saving) comment follows after Junior shared a cute clip on Twitter of himself and daughter Sbahle in the car on their way home.
“Our drives home are always the best. Her reaction still KILLS ME”, the DJ baby daddy captioned the clip.

J’Something to his beautiful wife Coco – I hate being far away from you

Finding it hard being away from his family while on the road, Mi Casa frontman J’Something has shared an archived video he sent his wife Coco years ago. J’Something serenades her – and now us – with his romantic voice, as he pours his heart out about how hard it is to be away from home.

In an Instagram post accompanying the video, he wrote: “I found this video I sent to my wife years ago when I was on tour. It’s a weird thing. I love being on the road performing, but being away from my wife and family is hella hard. J’Something and Coco travelled together to Portugal last year, visiting historic churches and landmarks.

The singer has never been scared to gush over his missus, waxing lyrical about their love in a Instagram post last year: “We were born to learn to love. All of us! None of us know how to love perfectly. Only God does. God is love. But that’s the purpose behind life, for us to learn and practice love with one another so that we can learn so much more about who God is!

“When I found this lady of mine, I knew I wanted to learn to love her. I wanted to practice patience with her. I wanted to put aside my pride for her. I wanted to learn to forgive her. I wanted to be kind to her and show her that she could trust me every second of the day,” he wrote at the time.

S-e-x Book has got Celebs and politicians on the same page

It seems economic freedom isn’t the only revolution EFF is advocating for. Last night was the official launch of Doctor and Author Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng’s book A Guide to S-e-xual Health & Pleasure.

The launch took place in Hyde Park at Exclusive Books and to our surprise EFF President, Julius Malema, was in attendance along with Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. Apparently the likes of Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk To Freedom and Steve Biko’s I Write What I Like aren’t the only books on politicians’ bookshelves. Interesting times.

Juju and Ndlozi both took to Twitter to congratulate Dr T on her astonishing work.
We thank you also Dr T, for we would have never known what we know now about our honourable members; that they are not just Fighters but Lovers too.

Of course our politicians were not the only members who sought to join the #PleasureRevolution, our girl Khanyi Mbau also shared her congratulations to the Doc.

She wrote:
S-e-x… a spiritual conversation, an exchange of energy given by God to empower each other & reproduce. Hardcore P0RN links removed from Phat Joe’s Twitter account

Local radio personality, Phat Joe’s Twitter account has been linked to p0rn0graphic content on the micro-blogging site. Under the “Likes” section of the shock-jocks profile several hardcore p0rn0graphic footage can be seen. The images and videos are of such a nature that it can’t be published here. The “Likes” section on a Twitter profile shows tweets liked by the user of the account.

It was not clear if Phat Joe himself had liked the p0rn0graphic material or if someone else had access to his official account.

The findings came to light when the radio star once again reached the top of Twitter’s trending topics, when he allegedly made reckless comments about Miss South Africa 2019 judge Anele Mdoda.

The SABC said in a statement to Channel24 that it was investigating the matter. Anele’s management team declined to comment.

With his name on everyone lips and internet searches, social media users took a deep dive into his online activities. Some of the p0rn0grahic material under the “Likes” tab of Phat Joe’s profile date back to 2017. Phat Joe has not commented on the matter.

Miss Universe Catriona Gray arrives in SA

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has arrived to judge the contestants in the Miss South Africa 2019 pageant. She joined her fellow judges – Connie Ferguson, Thando Hopa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Anele Mdoda – after a 15-hour flight from New York City in Pretoria for the pageant’s closed-door preliminary interview with the Miss SA top 16.

Gray took to Instagram to let her more than 6 million followers know she has arrived safely in South Africa, a country she had never been before.

She said, “Just finished closed-door preliminaries with this years @official_misssa contestants and I am super impressed! Us judges definitely have a difficult job, but no doubt these ladies are bound to do amazing things! Miss Universe and Miss South Africa 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters also took to her Instagram account and welcomed Gray to South Africa. “Welcome to South Africa dearest Cat”, she said.

While in South Africa, Gray will also be attending the Feathers National LGBTI Campus Dialogue at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Gray, who is the fourth Filipina to win the Miss Universe pageant is known for her work with the LGBTQI+ community.

Although not much has been revealed about what else Gray will get up to in South Africa, if current Miss SA Tamaryn Green’s latest post on Instagram is anything to go by, they will be spending time together where Green said she will show Gray around SA.Looking forward to welcoming our Miss Universe to South Africa & showing her the beauty of our country”, said Green.

Did Black Coffee Cheat on Enhle Mbali with someone she knew?

Actress Enhle Mbali recently opened up about her feelings regarding the cheating scandals that have happened in her marriage with DJ Black Coffee (real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo) during an interview with DJ Zinhle on her YouTube show Sincerely Yours Enhle Mbali. Although the interview was meant to be about DJ Zinhle’s own relationship experiences with her current partner, rapper AKA – who left her to be with Bonang Matheba while she was pregnant with their daughter Kairo – it gave Enhle the opportunity to open up about her own experience.

Speaking about the times she was in the media because of a cheating scandal, Enhle said: “I went through two scandals: one there was a sex tape, one it was just rachetness and I remember in my pain, in my tears, in my strength and in my stillness, there was one day when I thought ‘why do I care so much? Why do I want to listen to society say ‘he’s cheated on you twice, leave’ what is my heart saying? What is my spirit saying? And my spirit said ‘you love him, sit your a** down and do what is best for you and your family’.

The actress who shares a son with Black Coffee has been at the center of divorce rumours following public speculation that her husband cheated on her with David Guetta’s ex-wife Cathy Guetta.

Although she has not spoken out about the cheating scandal publicly before this, she did post a video of herself and Cathy Guetta from a year ago on her Instagram Wtories.

During the interview she asks Zinhle how she felt during AKA and Bonangs very public relationship.

Zinhle described the time as “dry and wintery and cold and dark. Enhle then explained what the most painful part of being cheated on has been for her. Personally, for me, cheating is an issue, but not as big as the fact that a person sat in front of you and lied to your face every single day.” She explained.

“On top of that it’s with a person we allowed into our home, into our space. It’s with a person I love and now I find out that you love them in that kind of way,” she said, alluding to the speculation that Black Coffee might have cheated with someone who was close to the couple.

Although Zinhle and AKA are now back together and mending their relationship, Enhle and Black Coffee have not publicly commented to the state of their marriage. City Press previously reported that the couple were allegedly heading for divorce court, citing the DJs rumoured infidelities and meddling family members as the reason for Enhle serving her husband with divorce papers.

In a statement obtained by The Juice by Capacity Relations on behalf of Enhle, the artist and talent management company said: “We have no comment on this. We have however noticed some irresponsible articles being published on the issue.

Benni McCarthy welcomes his 5th child

Soccer legend Benni McCarthy and his wife Stacey Munro welcomed their first son together on Tuesday. Taking to his Instagram page, the Cape Town City FC coach introduced his baby boy into the world.

Welcome to the World my son. Introducing Lio Romero McCarthy,” he posted. Benni has three daughters from a previous marriage and one daughter with his current wife Stacey – making Lio, his first son.

Stacey, who is a former model from Scotland wed Benni in 2014 in a lavish wedding which took place in her home country.

My personal life is a disaster – Shekhinah

On the back of being announced as the top streamed SA female artist on Apple Music, musician Shekhinah has spoken about navigating life in her twenties, describing how the journey has knocked her several times. In an interview on YouTube channel, Defining, Shekhinah said that her twenties have been tricky, explaining that it’s been a process of discovery.

“You think you know yourself and then it’s like, noooo, you don’t know yourself. I thought I was aware all this time. My twenties keep slapping me across the face. She said that she has learnt to deal with the blows. “I am grateful for life. It’s part of the journey. As a musician I want to continue to unpack this for as long as I can.

She released her debut album Rose Gold in 2017, and has been the brains behind the upcoming RoseFest Festival of Fantasy on Women’s Day. She said it’s important for her to focus on running an all-female production that’s also headlined by female musicians. Every step I’m making is one that I want to make and that’s a really cool position to be in.

In June the 24-year-old said she had taken a break from the industry to focus on her health after undergoing surgical procedures.

She said that adulting has presented many challenges.”The bank is a big one. My personal life is a disaster. My love life is a disaster… no, it’s interesting.

Shekhinah said she realised that she’s a “horrible good friend”, admitting to not paying enough attention to her friends because she was focused on Shekhinah the brand instead of Shekhinah the person.
