Anele Mdoda – I am a nightmare to date

There is no formula for what makes a great partner in romantic relationships, not even being brought up in a household where both parents are present.

This is a view of media personality Anele Mdoda, who responded to a tweep’s post on the subject.

@taylorrr_ lambasted single mothers: “Single mothers polluted women to think they don’t need man and raised men to think they’re supposed to take on the role as the man of the house at 5 years old.”

Anele joined many who disputed the statement, saying she is “a nightmare to date”, even though she was raised by both her parents.

“I was raised in a two parent household and I am a nightmare to date. I also ended up being a single parent so rewrite your thesis at your own pace.

Penny Lebyane: Babes Wodumo is a danger to Herself

Penny Lebyane has taken a moment to call out singer, Babes Wodumo after the gqom queen trended for apparently cyberbullying Lady Zamar in a video that went viral this week. In case you missed the story, Twitter was not at all pleased with Babes Wodumo who was captured on video insulting Lady Zamar’s acne. The Monarch singer has opened up about how her struggles with acne have impacted her self esteem and Babes’ mean comments (which came out of nowhere, it must be said) were seen as a low blow.

While the country dragged Babes Wodumo for the umpteenth time, the people’s advocate Penny Lebyane decided that the singer needed a stern talking-to and she didn’t mince her words when she commented on Babes’ latest saga writing on Instagram:

She is a danger to herself, a ticking time bomb with wires crossed were it matters the most the head. The noise in her head is so loud she can’t hear anything. Its what happens when a gimmick is confused for talent. Sustainability idiotic concept.

Grammar and spelling aside, many people agreed with Penny that Babes Wodumo appeared to be spiralling. Unfortunately for those people, the Wololo star doesn’t appear to give a single (insert word rhyming with “duck”) and has responded with a short but not-so-sweet reply on Twitter:

Penny tried to reach out one more time, pointing out that Babes Wodumo needed help but the singer appeared to be oblivious to the assistance she was being offered.

Boity Thulo lashes out at Vodacom for stealing her data and airtime

Local entertainer and rapper, Boity Thulo, has slammed mobile provider Vodacom for ‘stealing her data and airtime’. Mzansi knows the pain of data costs and running out of it and agreed with the celeb.

If there’s one pain that all South Africans go through together, it’s the misery of dealing with mobile providers. Boity Thulo recently shared her own experience with a provider, Vodacom in this case, and boy, was she unhappy. She took to social media and – in capital letters – expressed her displeasure with the provider. According to her, they steal her airtime and data

Left vodacom last month joined telkom and am disappointed they steal your airtime and data then they pause you.

Trevor Noah misses The Daily Show after doctor puts him on vocal rest

The Daily Show fans were left a little disappointed on Thursday after host Trevor Noah announced that he won’t be able to host the show for a short time. The star was booked off by his doctor, who put him on vocal rest for a few days. Taking to social media, Trevor broke the news to his fans.

“Unfortunately, per doctor’s orders I am on vocal rest and won’t be able to host The Daily Show tonight. Luckily we’ve got a few days off so I’m gonna rest and get back to 100,” he wrote. The show confirmed that Trevor and the team would be back in three weeks’ time, Tuesday, September 3, after its previously scheduled summer hiatus.

Fans flooded the comments section of Trevor’s post, wishing him well and urging him to return soon. This is not the first time that Trevor has had issues with his vocal cords.

The star was ordered by doctors to rest his bruised vocal cords late past year, which resulted in him cancelling all shows for the rest of 2018.

Babes wants to apologise to Lady Zamar, but sticks to claims she was framed

Babes Wodumo once again found herself in the middle of a massive social media storm after Lady Zamar was cyberbullied about her acne, in a viral clip by a woman who appeared to be the gqom singer. The clip went viral on Thursday morning and saw Babes come under major fire.

Shortly after Babes’s name topped the social media trends list, she released a video statement on Instagram, claiming that she had been hacked. She asserts that she was being framed and has distanced herself from claims that it was her voice in the viral video.

However Babes’ PR manager and sister Ndumiso Simelane told TshisaLIVE that she’s hurt over the entire debacle and was trying to contact Lady Zamar to apologise and clear her name. Babes heart is bleeding after the video went viral. She is trying to get hold of Lady Zamar to clear her name regarding the accusations, because the situation is getting out of hand now. She said there was no beef between Babes and Lady Zamar because they were in different music genres.

“They are not in the same musical genre, so why would Babes do that or have beef with her? Acne is a problem nationwide. Why would my sister have [the] nerve to say that to Lady Zamar. Even Babes has acne sometimes,” Ndumiso added. Taking to Instagram, Babes also shared screenshots from Twitter which she claims were not shared by her.

Ntsiki Mazwai confirms Moja Love departure

Five months after scoring a TV gig on Moja Love’s talk show, Show Me Love, Ntsiki Mazwai has announced that she will be leaving the channel at the end of the month.

The star made the shocking revelation on social media this week, thanking everyone for their support. Reflecting on her time at the show, Ntsiki said: “It’s been amazing and I have grown a lot. The star revealed to a fan that she is leaving after her contract expires in two weeks.

Ntsiki’s future on the show came under the microscope earlier this month after Moja Love issued a statement distancing itself from her comments about Morning Live presenter Leanne Manas

In a series of tweets, Ntsiki weighed in on a discussion about Leanne celebrating 15 years in the industry and said she did not think the presenter was doing an amazing job, but was white and “enjoying privilege”. She further claimed that the host was ignorant of black culture and called it “white privilege in action”.

Ntsiki hit back at the station and questioned the timing of its statement. “The statement from Moja Love: that’s deep, yo! I don’t understand how come you haven’t sent out press releases for when I attack black people, but now it is time to grovel for white people and you are there,” she wrote.sikimazwai)

What’s really going on between Lasizwe and Cedric Fourie?

Lasizwe and Cedric Fourie have been playing coy about whether they are a couple or not for nearly a year. The pair have been plagued by dating rumours since 2018, with many believing the whole thing is a PR stunt to keep people talking.

Lasizwe certainly seems to enjoy playing the guessing game. When asked about their alleged romance, the social media star played dumb.

Loyiso Bala is set to fly the SA flag high when he attends the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers event in New York next month. Loyiso has been involved in several charities and outreach programmes and was invited to Goalkeepers after being nominated. He shared the good news alongside a copy of the invite.

Loyiso told TshisaLIVE he was excited by the chance to share the African story with the world. I am looking forward to meeting with other young world leaders and connect with them. I believe the challenges we are facing right now as a country cannot be solved in isolation. Our world systems are constantly declining and as the father of two daughters, I want to see them live in a better world.”

Loyiso hopes to connect with changemakers around the world and make a difference.I want to leave the world a better place than what I found it and this is a great opportunity to meet with like-minded people and work on systems to make a difference.

He joked that after joining the corporate world, he has enough suits and ties for his trip, and added that he would maybe take an African-print shirt or tie to represent home. I have to represent South Africa somehow, so that the real me really shines through.
