The picture originated from the trio partying together in Miami for New Year’s Eve. In the caption of the post, Quavo insinuated he is joyful to turn the page on 2021: “Looking At 2021 Like N****a That’s Over Wit!”

    In 2021, Quavo and his fellow Migos finished their Culture trilogy with Culture III, as well as adding a subsequent deluxe the same week. But, with the good times in 2021, came the bad. Quavo saw his close friend and respected streetwear designer Virgil Abloh pass earlier this year, as he walked in his posthumous Louis Vuitton showcase. Also, drama with his former girlfriend Saweetie, particularly her romantic involvement with his Quality Control label-mate Lil Baby, dampened his 2021 campaign. This past week, too, Quavo was sued by his former limo driver for assaulting him.

    However, it appears that he sprung into 2022 on a high note, as his visit to Game Changers Club for New Year’s saw him hanging out with Diddy, French Montana, Busta Rhymes and many others including Future and Ye. While some of his colleagues spent their holiday in St. Barts or elsewhere, he lived it up in South Beach.

    The move comes as Paul, fresh off knocking out former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on December 18, has a new venture in mind — competing in the Octagon. In a message shared to Twitter on Saturday (January 1), Paul mentioned UFC president Dana White and suggested several demands in order for him to retire from boxing and fight UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal.

    Drake takes legal action against jeweler for using his image

    Canadian rapper Drake is going after a jeweler for using his image to promote their brand, after they sold him ice, he was completely unhappy with! Read more!

    Drake is letting y’all know that he is about his business … not yours!

    The “Certified Lover Boy” is currently suing a jeweler over a diamond necklace they made for him and he wants them to stop using his face in their ads.
    According to Radar, the GRAMMY Award-winner demanded an injunction against Gemma LTD jewelry and its owner, Ori Vechler for using his image and likeness to promote his image and likeness.

    The Hong Kong-based company used pictures of Drake on its social media.

    Drizzy’s lawyer shared in court filings, “He has worked extremely hard to build an ever-expanding empire in the music, entertainment, fashion, and design industries.”

    Initially, Drake reached out to the ice-makers via Instagram and ordered three pieces: a diamond ring, diamond rings, and diamond necklace (dropping half of the undisclosed price as a down payment). He received them in 2020, during the pandemic.

    However, he was “not satisfied with the jeweler for several reasons.” He believes that pieces were wack and lacked the quality that he was promised. When he attempted to return the items, the company refused to receive them.

    Instead, Drake’s legal team says that the company started using pictures of him without any license on social media in late December 2019 and early 2020 “to bring light to their brand.” Instagram is primarily the platform Gemma exploited with the chart-topping artist.

    “While Drake was briefly a Gemma customer, his status as such did not also include giving Gemma the right to use his name and likeness in a licensing campaign for its products,” the attorney said. “This is especially the case when Drake is actually dissatisfied with what he received from Gemma, has been attempting to return it and obtain a refund (to no avail), and never would want his name or likeness associated with Vechler or Gemma, or for his fans and the public to think that he is somehow affiliated with them or endorses them.”

    The musician took to social media to share that he has realised some music producers don’t have equipment to produce quality music. Therefore, he’s giving away equipment.

    “This is the sound card that I have used in most of my career, it actually produced my last album that consists of hit songs such as Club Controller, Fetch Your Life and so forth. The list is endless,” he said.

    “I know there are a lot of musicians out there that don’t have the equipment to deliver quality music, so I am giving this sound card away. It is one of the best in the market, it has helped me a lot and I want to help others too, especially up-and-coming artists.”

    The sound card that he is giving away is valued at R20 000.

    According to him all you must do is upload a beat that you are currently working on and the one that he likes the most will walk away with the equipment.

    This is not the first time the musician has opened his heart and pockets to budding musicians. Last year he released an album called Project Hope.

    The album, which featured 10 talented female vocalists from all walks of life, was aimed at uplifting and affording them an opportunity within the music industry.

    Previously, the celebrated DJ worked with music producer TNS on a song when he was relatively new in the industry.

    They released their hit song, Banomoya, which went on to become a hit song. Since then, TNS has gone on to do great things.

    Babes Wodumo, Mampintsha and Makhadzi have been trending on social media after Babes went ranting on Makhadzi accusing her of bedding her hubby, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo.

    Makhadzi took to social media to address Babes’ allegations denying that she had slept with her husband.

    She went on to tell her to deal with her husband for looking at her and not attacking her, tarnishing her image for what her man did.

    “You can’t expect me to be able to stop your man from looking at me, deal with your man who likes women, not ask me to stop him from looking at me. How can that be possible,” she said responding to Babes.

    Meanwhile, Mzansi has been calling Mampintsha to give his side of the story amidst the Babes Wodumo – Makhadzi beef.

    Mampintsha took to Tiktok, where he dropped a video that has left people even more confused.

    In the 46-second video, recorded in isiZulu, part of it loosely translated, Mampintsha says, “You say I like looking at things, listen here! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, there is no one ugly here.”

    Mampintsha has left Mzansi guessing as to who he is referring to and who the message is intended for.

    Others could not help but associate it with the Babes vs Makhadzi feud saying he can only be referring to Babes Wodumo who thinks Makhadzi is not beautiful.

    Makhadzi refused to be drawn into a catfight with Babes who she accused of attention-seeking.

    She mocked her claims and forgave her, and went further to advise her to control her husband.

    The Limpopo-born singer said she only came to their studio for business and nothing else.

    “I don’t even have your husband’s number and if he has mine I don’t know how he got it,” she added.

    However, Mampintsha has been extremely quiet about the incident that sparked the feud only to release the vague TikTok video.
