    Bonnie Meslane is ready to launch her radio career

    Media personality and celebrity publicist Bonnie Meslane is one step closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a radio host.

    Meslane was recently shortlisted for a presenting gig at the SABC’s Umhlobo Wenene FM. My father called me telling me I had been shortlisted. He heard on the radio. I am elated. I prayed for this. I want this job…” says Meslane.

    The star says winning the presenter search competition will inspire young people, particularly from her home village of Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape.

    “This opportunity would mean a lot for me and my community. I am from a rural village in Mqanduli, with little opportunity, and that would affirm not only my dreams but those of people who come from where I come from. It would inspire hope in a lot of people
    No stranger to radio, Meslane worked as a content contributor for Phumzile Zonke’s weekend show “Abahlali Abangalali” on Umhlobo Wenene back in 2013.

    She also worked as a breakfast content producer for DJ Sbu Leope on Massiv Metro.

    “I have always loved radio, I love entertainment and I believe it is time to step to the front and fulfil my dreams.
    I have been so blessed to have the job of my dreams as a publicist. I started out as an art director and wardrobe intern for three short films at Coalstove Pictures in 2012 and, shortly after, I joined ”Jucy Africa”, a lifestyle digital magazine owned by now SABC news anchor Nzinga Qunta.

    “It is there that I became more creative and confident in my writing, experienced the industry as a budding journalist, attending events and reporting. I also got the opportunity to co-ordinate and produce editorial shoots, style them, and again do art direction.

    “I later joined Soulistic Music and worked for Black Coffee, another enlightening experience.

    “I joined Total Exposure in 2015 and worked on some of the best accounts across entertainment and lifestyle.

    “I worked on the Nicki Minaj concert, the Samas, the BET Awards, the BET Experience and so many other beautiful campaigns. Meslane is appealing to all South Africans to help her win the Umhlobo Wenene presenter search.

    Award-winning hip-hop artist Riky Rick has died. Details of his untimely death are still foggy but the publication has learned that the accomplished musician, whose real name is Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, allegedly took his own life at his estate home in the north of Joburg this morning.

    Another source confirmed the death which has robbed Mzansi of another talented musician in the Ungazincishi hitmaker. “ It’s sad, I am heartbroken, South Africa is poorer without this talented muso,” said the source.

    Riky Rick, 32, was the founder and owner of the record label Cotton Club Records. He was well known for fashion and setting trends.

    He managed to establish himself as one of the most popular figures in South Africa’s entertainment scene. He has had so much presence in different places, and he is known by several other names including Boss Zonke, Master Makhado and Minister of Energy, and King Kotini.

    Riky Rick has an interesting background. He was raised mainly by his maternal grandmother because he did not get the chance to grow up with his parents who divorced when he was only a baby. After that, his dad relocated to Johannesburg, and his mother, in pursuance of academia, studied in SA as well as the United Kingdom to qualify to become an advocate.

    Rikhado was married to Bianca Naidoo. His untimely death comes just days after he announced a partnership deal with African Bank.

    Mome Mahlangu has taken to her social media to open up on some of the challenges she face in the past 10 years.

    The star shared a photo of herself stating that it was the day her aunt and sister were sending her to her in-laws.
    Mome stated that she survived all that because of her husband and the journey changed her life for the better.

    The reality TV star had to go through abuse from her in laws to been diagnosed with what could have been chronic but she kneeled down more than she cried and thank her man for being her every source of strength.

    Mome said she had miscarriages, motional and mental trauma of being cursed to fail at this marriage by inlaws but she chose to protect her mental health.

    Being a female deejay herself, she was not going to sit pretty and watch as one of her own was put under fire for such a flimsy reason.

    For celebs who is always so kindhearted, fans had never imagined that they would see her no-nonsense side and we have to all agree that we like her even better this way.
    Clearly this will not be the last time we will be hearing from Lamiez now that she has proven to her fans that she is not ashamed of speaking her mind. Like just the other day when she made a stern warning to those who share her personal contact details to just anybody.

    This she said was in violation of her privacy and she would not condone such behavior at all. Yes, her tone was not at all that kind but she stood her ground and we can only hope that her fans and friends will respect her decision.

    The team was speaking about Slik Talk’s return saying he made a few valid points in his YouTube episode about Minnie Dlamini’s divorce.     Few celebrities have a more difficult relationship with the Mzansi public than Dineo Ranaka. She is always getting slammed for one reason or another, and now she has finally shown some indication that she knows all the things people say about her.. And she is not amused in the slightest.

    The radio personality recently took to her Instagram stories to address all the negative things that have been said about her. She expressed disappointment at all the judgement she often faces, and said it is even worse because most of it comes from women. She would have expected her fellow ladies to have a little more grace for her, but unfortunately, that’s not what she has been met with.

    The media personality recently revealed the reason why her marriage of less than one year came to an abrupt end. She said that the relationship had been mentally and emotionally abusive, and that she often felt like her husband would try to manipulate her a lot. Eventually, she chose to protect her own peace and opted for divorce.

    But the news did not sit well with Mzansi social media users. They came for her viciously, saying they did not believe how she could be complaining about toxic people when she is toxic herself. “You can dish it but you can’t take it?” they demanded to know.

Well, considering how frequently she is attacked on social media because of things she says or does, that is not surprising. But we hope that she continues to choose her peace and mental health, and does not let the haters win.
