  • Babes Wodumo blamed for stressing Mampintsha

Babes Wodumo blamed for stressing Mampintsha

Babes Wodumo is criticised after her husband, Mampintsha complained of being stressed.

The West Ink boss opened up on Facebook saying: “Awulele ngani na (ngiphethwe I stress singing) esani I stress?” which means “I just need some time in a beautiful place to clear my head.”

He also spoke about damaged people, and people were quick to crucify Babes for Mandla’s complaint.

“Damaged people are strong because they know how to survive.”

People were quick to flaw Babes and blame her for her husband’s health issue, as she recently insulted her mother in law on social media.

Few weeks ago, she accused Makhadzi of sleeping with Mandla.

However, the Ghanama hitmaker denied the claim, and revealed all that transpired between herself, Babes and Mampintsha.

Upon hearing Makhadzi’s side of story, people supported the Limpopo-born star and asked that Babes Wodumo’s mental health needs to be checked.

Seems the table has turned around, as Babes was formerly called the victim, but Mampintsha is not the victim.

Though, he is yet to release a statement in reaction tor Babes claims.

  • Ten childhood traumatic experiences that affect adults

Ten childhood traumatic experiences that affect adults

When we talk about trauma, we use it as a blanket for any unpleasant experience we had when growing up, but it also applies to a negative reaction to a difficult experience.

Repeated traumatic experiences can cause a child to live perpetually in fear and feel like their life is always going to be uncontrollable.

Here are 10 experiences that are traumatic for children that affect them in adulthood:

A person is likely to be traumatised if they experienced their mother being abused by their father.
Having a parent who has mental challenges like depression and schizophrenia.
Being sexually abused by a parent, relative or any older person can affect a child and have a ripple effect in their adult relationships.
Being physically abused, for example, being slapped, beaten, starved for food by parents or caregivers.
Neglect is another major issue that affects children. This is mental and emotional abuse. Being abandoned by parents can be detrimental to one’s mental health and sometimes it is not even about a mother or father who left them but one who doesn’t make time for them.
Drugs and alcohol addiction also affects children greatly. Watching your mother or father overdose on alcohol or get barefaced drunk causes trauma.
Poverty can also cause extreme emotional stress and cause trauma later.
Being bullied as a child causes trauma for children and affects their esteem.
Witnessing violence and death like living in war zones or being in a car accident.
Constant conflict in the home like arguments and domestic squabbles.
These traumas affect the neural pathways and cause behavioural changes.

Most of these childhood issues are unresolved and find a way to seep into your adulthood and cause further mental health issues.

    Unresolved childhood issues cause

    Anxiety and depression.
    Inability to handle conflict.
Self-esteem issues and poor regard for yourself.
    Addiction to drugs and alcohol.
    Replicating the abuse experienced.
    Panic attacks.
One of the best ways to deal with unresolved issues is to seek help by therapy but sometimes just talking with a friend who is willing to offer useful advice or just be a sounding board helps.

It is also important to avoid being controlled by past events or attributing all your actions to them

  • Somizi’s reality show renewed for another season

Somizi’s reality show renewed for another season

Somizi’s reality show is reportedly renewed for another season, as production has begun.

Social media expert, Phil Mphela announced that Living The Dream With Somizi will be returning to your screens pretty soon.

However, the producer of the show has been changed from Legend Manqele to Teddy Geldart.

While there’s no basic explanation for the change, it’s assumed that the saga between Som and his ex-husband, Mohale in 2021 caused the change.

Audio between the two erstwhile couple was leaked in 2021, which caused a bit of chaos, and many assumed Producer Legend Manqele leaked it.

However, he denied the assumptions while speaking with True Love magazine team: “I have no idea who would do something like this,” said the Bar Leader CEO. “This is not how I do things, and I always try as best as I can to protect my peace. I was also shocked when I discovered that the recording had been leaked.”

Meanwhile, Somizi is getting fun drenched while on vacation in Cape Town; he’s also showed off the luxury he behold daily.

  • “I am not suicidal, but I’m just done” – says Nompilo

“I am not suicidal, but I’m just done” – says Nompilo

Nompilo Dlamini who has been battling cystic fibrosis said she’s given up on treatment and will be returning home.

The young woman got South Africans in their feelings with a video, where she gave the latest update about her health and her next move,

“I am not suicidal, I haven’t lost hope either, but I’m just done. I don’t want to keep on fighting. I’ve fought enough. Now it’s just time I ask God to give me rest from this battle. My job is finished. May God do His will,” she captioned a video.

“I might be going back home next week because the needed injection is not available here in India, which is part of the immunosuppressants that I am supposed to take. But, it is available in South Africa. But, at the same time, I don’t think I still have that will to take any more medication or to take any more chances of giving me hope to get help, and keep on the fight,” she said.
“For me, honestly, I am done with medication. I am just gonna let God do His will and take each day as it comes because, no, no, no I have had enough of the fighting. It’s time I get selfish and just think of me, nobody else. Next week I am coming back home. I don’t want to take any more injections, I do not want anything, besides me taking each day as it comes until God decides that I should be joining him and his disciples,” she said.

The 26-year-old, originally from eSwatini, has received a huge support from South Africans, both financially and emotionally.

Cassper Nyovest, Lekau Sehoana (DRIP sneaker CEO), Production company Cake Media and the rest of Mzansi contributed to Nompilo’s medical expenses.

A sum of R2 million was raised for the young woman to travel, however, at this point, she’s trusting God to fight her battle, while she gives up on treatment.

The video got people reaching out for tissue, even Cassper Nyovest was speechless.

“Eish, Nompilo. I have no words. Either way, you have our hearts. Whatever you decide,” the rapper reacted.

  • Omicron’s Rapid spread means it will ’become dominant within weeks’

Omicron’s Rapid spread means it will ’become dominant within weeks’

GENEVA – More evidence is emerging that the Omicron coronavirus variant is affecting the upper respiratory tract, causing milder symptoms than previous variants, a World Health Organization official said on Tuesday.

“We are seeing more and more studies pointing out that Omicron is infecting the upper part of the body. Unlike the other ones, that could cause severe pneumonia,” WHO Incident Manager Abdi Mahamud told Geneva-based journalists, saying it could be “good news”.

However, he added that Omicron’s high transmissibility means it will become dominant within weeks in many places, posing a threat in countries where a high portion of the population remains unvaccinated.

His remarks on the reduced risks of severe disease chime with other data including a study from South Africa which was one of the first countries where Omicron was detected.

However, Mahamud also sounded a note of caution, calling South Africa an “outlier” since it has a young population among other factors.

Asked about whether an Omicron-specific vaccine was needed, Mahamud said it was too early to say but stressed that the decision required global coordination and should not be left to the commercial sector to decide alone.

Earlier this week, Division of Medical Virology and Groote Schuur Complex of the National Health Laboratory Service Dr Marvin Hsiao said, “Covid-19 cases in South Africa are declining overall as we have passed the peak.

“However, the reduced testing over the last week and the gathering over the festive season can still have an impact on the epidemic trajectory. If there is a resurgence of infections from New Year celebrations we would expect to see an increase in cases in the next 10 days and hospitalisations in the week after.”
